Captain Zack Brough and the Bulls Head Repton U18 boys produced a clinical performance at the Nottingham Hockey Centre on Sunday afternoon as they walked a way with a 6-1 victory over local rivals Beeston. From the first whistle, Repton dominated the possession stats and were rewarded with an early penalty corner which was well converted by Alex Chihota. Two more goals followed before the half time interval which were well converted by Archie Vaughan and Matt Squance, the latter being on the end of some excellent build up play by Joe Sookias and Harry Stone. Repton continued their dominance into the second half as Zack Brough and his fellow defenders passed the ball with great composure and diligence through the Beeston press. Repton created a handful of chances and it was Alex Chihota (x2) and Archie Vaughan again who added their names to the scoresheet. The Repton defensive circle were hardly busy right until the last minute of the game, when Beeston were awarded a penalty stroke for a player being judged to have been taken out by the Repton goalkeeper. The penalty was converted as the final whistle went.
It was a great afternoon for the Repton U18 boys who put in a great team performance. Every member of the team contributed in a positive way which was wonderful to see.
