Playing with Siblings, Beans on Toast, Football Talents and more...

1. What age did you start playing hockey and what and/or who encouraged you to get involved?
I started playing hockey at school in year 3, when I was 7 years old and I am now in my first season of U16 hockey.

2. Who is your sporting role model and why?
My sporting role model is Sam Ward because he is an international record goal scorer and he even won a silver at 2023 FIH pro league after suffering a head injury in 2019.

3. If you had to give one piece of advice to your younger self what would it be?
If I spoke to my younger self it would be to always trust yourself while playing and to never get put down by a mistake. Also to never compare yourself to others because you are on your own pathway.

4. Who is your favourite player at Repton HC to play alongside and why?
I enjoy playing with everyone at RHC but one day I would love to play with my little sister Holly as we are really close.

5. Do you have any pre game rituals or superstitions and if so what?
Before games I like to listen to music, it helps me chill out and enables me to think about what I need to do in the game to support the team.

6. What is your go to pre-game meal?
My go-to pre match meal would be beans-on-toast with some cheese on top.

7. Which game this season are you most looking forward to?
I am most excited to play Surbiton this season, as we didn’t get to play them last season and they are always a tough team to play against. I like the extra challenge of playing the top teams.

8. What has been your favourite hockey achievement to date?
My favourite hockey memory is winning the U14 school national finals last year.

9. What is your pregame song?
I don’t have a favourite pre-game song, I like to listen to lots of different music before games.

10. If you could represent your country in any sport, what would it be and why?
I would love to represent England and even Great Britain in hockey because it has always been my dream to represent my country in hockey when I am older.

11. What is a hidden talent or hobby most people don’t know you have?
I don’t have many hidden talents but many people don’t know that I also play football alongside hockey. I started playing football for Leicester city around the same time as I started playing hockey.

12. If you could share a dinner with 3 famous people dead or alive who would this be?
If I could have a meal with anyone it would have to be Sam Ward and Yibby Jansen.
