Its was the perfect sunny morning last Sunday as we welcomed our minis down to Repton Astros for their first weekly training session of 2020/21. There were over 30 Under 8 and Under 10 players being coached by our team of 8 coaches and it was great to see everyone back on the pitch again!

Sessions are run on a pay as you play basis and new players are welcome to come along and have a go (sticks can be provided but you will need shin pads and a gum shield please). You must register in advance of coming along to a session by Joining the Club as a parent and as a player (no annual membership fee) and in line with England Hockey Covid Guidelines you must complete a Player Participation Form on behalf of your child in advance of the first session

Sessions are run on four quarters of the pitch with the players divided into age groups for training and with mini games at the end of each weekly session. In line with our Latest Covid-19 Guidelines all players must be signed in on arrival to confirm they have self-screened and we ask the children to space out their water bottles and any kit bags along the sides of the astro so they remain socially distanced whilst off the pitch. Spectators are not allowed on the side of Astros.
