Bulls Head Repton Men's XI top the Midlands Tier 1 Division 3 league

The MRHA confirmed that, due to the ongoing Covid-19 crisis, the 2019/20 Midland Men's hockey league season will be regarded as completed on 30th March.

Final league positions were calculated using a percentage points basis and with all league games won this season Repton topped their league with a 100% win record. With 20 games actually played this season the team recorded a goal difference of +168 with an incredible average of 9.25 goals scored by Repton per game! This is made even more remarkable considering there were two allocated 3-0 wins for games not actually played included within this record.

As in previous seasons the whole squad were responsible for the team's success on the pitch but, once again a number of the team appeared in the Midlands 3 League Top Scorers list : Simon Claris 1st (52), Martin Jones 2nd (49) and James Johnson 9th (14) . Congratulations to the entire Men's squad on this achievement and to Head Coach Martin Jones for back to back resounding league promotions. This season we have continued to build a committed, ambitious Men's squad as well as giving our most talented junior members exposure to adult hockey.

Next season looks set to be an exciting one for the Men's section as they compete at a higher Midlands Outdoor League as well as in the National Indoor Premier League against teams such as Surbiton, Sevenoaks, Holcombe and Wimbledon.
