Chairman Review
As we approach the final stages of the 2021/22 season it is hard not to be incredibly proud of the club's achievements to date. This Sunday we had three junior teams competing in the EH Tier 1 National Finals against the very best clubs in the country. Officials and opposition were full of praise for our players and what the club has accomplished in such a short time. All the squad members, as well as the players on the pitch yesterday, have been a credit to Repton HC and they should be incredibly proud of their achievements. Whilst the Lee Valley Finals did not go our way the players all did exceptionally well in thrilling games.
Our youngest teams also flew the flag for Repton HC representing Derbyshire at the Midlands In2Hockey Finals. The boys came 3rd in a field of 16 Midlands teams and the girls took the Midlands Runners Up spot after a fantastic day of hockey for our minis.
As the league season also concluded this weekend our teams all successfully earned promotion in their respective Midlands leagues. The M1s, M2s and Women all finished top of their tables, with some impressive goal differences, after truly outstanding seasons.
At the beginning of each season the club coaches and committee set goals and objectives for the year ahead and it is really pleasing that these have all been met this year. These goals included: promotion in the adult Midlands Outdoor Leagues; maintaining our Men's and Women's Indoor Premier League status; reaching the Junior Indoor Finals for U16s and U18s and competing in the later stages of the Junior Tier 1 Championship competitions. In addition we set out to ensure the U14s and U16s won their Area Leagues to earn a place in the post Christmas Supra-Leagues which has generated a lot more match play for members at all junior levels. This success happens through the support of a dedicated administration and coaching team and we are very grateful to have such a committed group tirelessly working for the whole membership of Repton HC. Thank you to everyone who has played their part in the club's success to date.

U18 Girls T1 Cup
Surbiton 4-3 Repton
In one of the day's most topsy-turvy encounters, Surbiton came out on top in a seven-goal thriller. Elani Sherwood (2) and Jess Dyson gave Surbiton a three-goal cushion, only for Evie Grindal and skipper Daisy Bennett to reduce the deficit. Caragh Haspel then got what proved to be a decisive fourth for Surbiton, and Sienna Dunn's late goal was just too late for Repton to find an equaliser.
U16 Boys T1 Cup
Guildford 6-1 Repton
This final got off to a blistering pace, with the scoreline already 2-1 to Guildford after only eight minutes; Patrick Cradden and Thomas Bull for 'Ford before Nathaniel Salsby's reply. It stayed that way until the 46th minute when Toby Kuhle made it 3-1, with skipper Sammy Dowds, Alex Thompson and Cradden rounding off the scoring.
U18 Boys T1 Cup
Surbiton 5-3 Repton
Just like in the Girls' final in the same competition, these two sides played out a cracker. Dylan Parry and James Southorn put the London side 2-0 up, but quick goals from George Fletcher and Harry Stone levelled matters. Surbiton skipper Jamie Taylor scored twice in the space of nine minutes to make it 4-2, only for Fletcher to again pull one back. But with a minute to go, Parry scored Surbiton's fifth to seal victory.
