The Women's 1XI played their first game of the season at home on Saturday. With conditions much improved from the previous week and playing on a more familiar surface, Repton started brightly and immediately took the game to their opponents. Early attacking chances created pressure but went unfinished until the 17th minute. From a penalty corner, Maisey Gaunt delivered a well-struck ball across the D, which was deflected in by Anna Stone to give the home side the lead.
Buckingham responded strongly and eventually found their equaliser in the 41st minute, converting a well-executed penalty corner. However, Repton hit back instantly. Straight from the restart, they pressed high and earned another penalty corner, which Jess Litchfield dispatched clinically to restore their advantage.
Defensively, Repton stood firm throughout, with Eloise Webster making a series of crucial tackles to keep Buckingham at bay. Meanwhile, Emilia Kaczmarczyk regularly drove through the opposition’s defence, creating further attacking opportunities with her direct play.
Despite Buckingham’s efforts to level the score, Repton held their ground and sealed a hard-fought 2–1 win over their visitors.

After a long away trip the previous weekend, Repton Men’s 1st XI returned home to face Bowdon, a side newly relegated into the league and expected to be strong contenders. The stage was set for a battle—and that’s exactly how the game unfolded.
The first half was evenly matched, with both teams creating good chances. However, neither side could break the deadlock thanks to some outstanding goalkeeping at both ends. The teams went into the interval level at 0–0, setting the scene for an exhilarating second half.
Repton struck first in the 41st minute when Simon Claris powered home a rocket of a drag flick from a penalty corner to give the hosts the lead. Just five minutes later, Claris doubled the advantage with another clinical finish from a short corner, putting Repton firmly in control at 2–0.
Bowdon responded on 58 minutes, converting a penalty corner of their own to pull one back. The intensity rose further when, just a minute later, both Adam Dixon and a Bowdon player were shown yellow cards after heavy tackles, leaving each side temporarily down to ten men.
The closing stages were fiercely competitive, but Repton dug deep defensively and held their ground to secure a hard-fought 2–1 victory.

Repton Men’s 2nd XI began their season in style hosting Sikh Union Nottingham at Home on Saturday Evening.
From the first whistle, Repton dominated proceedings, creating multiple chances. The visiting goalkeeper produced several key saves, and the hosts were unlucky to see one effort rebound off the crossbar.
The breakthrough came in the 17th minute when Finley Byrne struck superbly from the top of the circle to make it 1–0. Just five minutes later, Arthur Bargende doubled the lead with a sharp finish, putting Repton firmly in control. Sikh Union responded on 30 minutes, converting a well-worked penalty corner to reduce the deficit.
However, James Byrne restored the two-goal cushion only three minutes later with an excellent open play finish, ensuring Repton went into halftime leading 3–1.
In the second half, Sikh Union sat deeper, forcing Repton to be patient. The home side continued to dominate possession, carving out chances from a couple of penalty corners and appealing strongly for a penalty stroke. Persistence eventually paid off in the 70th minute when James Byrne capped off a fine team move to seal the 4–1 win.
